NSF Grant Opportunities for Community Colleges: Hints, Tips, and Ideas for Success!

Through this interactive session representatives from the National Science Foundation (NSF) will share grant opportunities and ideas for developing a successful grant proposal. This session will include hands on activities such as identifying components of a quality proposal and writing tips for success.

NSF provides almost $80 million per year for community colleges, primarily through the Division of Undergraduate Education (DUE). This session will focus on the programs that support teacher education including the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program and the Math and Science Partnership Program. Other programs in DUE that have traditionally provided significant support to community colleges include Advanced Technological Education (ATE), Transforming Undergraduate Education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (TUES), and the STEM Talent Expansion Program (STEP).

Joan Prival, Lead Program Director, Division of Undergraduate Education, National Science Foundation; Linnea Fletcher, former NSF Program Director and Department Chair of Biotechnology, Austin Community College
