NACCTEP Scholarship Program
The NACCTEP Scholarship Guidelines are are now available. Online applications and requested materials are due May 8, 2017.
The mission of NACCTEP is to promote the community college role in the recruitment, preparation, retention, and renewal of diverse early childhood and K-12 teachers and to advance quality teacher education programs at the community college. To further this mission, NACCTEP is proud to offer two $1,000 scholarships to students at member colleges who are studying to become teachers.
The Scholarship Committee will review all applications and award two $1,000 scholarships for the next academic year.
NACCTEP and WGU Teacher Education Scholarship Program
WGU has partnered with member institutions of the National Association of Community Colleges with Teacher Education Programs (NACCTEP) to offer the WGU NACCTEP Teacher Education Scholarship. Each scholarship is valued up to $2,000, and is designed to help graduates of NACCTEP-affiliated community colleges complete a bachelor’s or master’s degree and obtain teacher licensure.
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must have graduated from a teaching associates degree program from a NACCTEP affiliated community college. Contact your Enrollment Counselor to determine your eligibility.Other Requirements:
- Complete an application for admission.
- Complete a scholarship application.
- Submit official transcripts of all prior college work.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Be officially admitted to WGU.
- Interview with a WGU Scholarship Counselor prior to award decision.
Multiple scholarships will be awarded. However, this is a competitive program based on a candidate’s academic record, financial need, readiness for online study, and current competency, plus other considerations.
NOTE: This scholarship program is designed for new WGU students only. Students are eligible to apply for this scholarship up to 60 days prior to their start date and up to 60 days after starting a degree program. Students starting more than 90 days after submitting a scholarship application will not be considered for the scholarship. WGU employees and their spouses are not eligible to receive this scholarship. For more information, please click here
