The mission of NACCTEP is to support the community college role in the recruitment, preparation, retention, and renewal of diverse early childhood and K-12 teachers and to advance quality teacher education programs in the community college. NACCTEP provides connections and resources among community college professionals and promotes programs, services, and activities that enhance the role and effectiveness of teacher education programs.

About Us

Community colleges play an essential and growing role in the preparation and professional development of teachers. In many states a majority of students who are preparing to become teachers begin their college careers at community colleges. Studies have shown more than 50 percent of teachers attended a community college for at least part of their education.
